FrogLearn - Opening a Site in Safe Mode
Posted by , Last modified by on 04 August 2016 09:58 AM

When creating sites you may come across a problem where you are unable to either open the site at all or access the site in edit mode. This is likely going to be down to either some custom HTML code entered or an embedded website that may have a redirect placed on it etc. What you are able to do to investigate/fix any problems by visiting the site in "safe mode" which will prevent HTML code from rendering and embedded websites from being displayed.

Please Note: Any custom HTML code used within the platform cannot be supported as it could interfere with the way the default platform works.

In order to open a site in safe mode, simply open up FrogDrive, click on "Sites" on the left hand pane, then from "My Sites" click on the action cog at the top right of the window the click on "Open in Safe Mode" from the dropdown list.

The site will then open in safe mode and certain widgets that are capable of "breaking" the site will not be rendered and display a message similar to the below screenshot. This will allow you to click the edit button at the top left of the site and make the desired changes to resolve any issues on the site.
